Total recode using existing design to bring the page up to current standards.

I took advantage of a page redesign to totally rebuild this page. What was formally a table-based layout now uses semantic XHTML to structure the content and CSS for the presentation layer. The new code is 50% lighter and 100% more accessible for those with disabilities. The page degrades well in older browsers and can be easily adapted for use on mobile devices with the addition of a separate CSS file.

GSB Registration

(student pages | admin pages)

A web application used by GSB students to register for highly sought after elective classes. I worked with our user interaction designer to build an XHTML prototype our programmers could refer to when building out the application.

GSB MBA Admissions

Created templates for all pages as well as stylesheets for both screen and print presentation. Worked closely with the site owner to explain how the pages where built so that she would be able to build out and maintain the site. Pages were provided for both the user and administrator interfaces.

MyGSB

(cached copy)

Stripped out most of the presentation code from the default templates provided in a CMS product we used to maintain our student intranet. Being able to make presentation changes via the linked stylesheet proved invaluable during a subsequent design refresh.

Antares

Much like the work I did for the Admissions site, my role with this contract project was to deliver templates using XHTML and CSS that closely matched the designer’s Photoshop comps. My decision to use styled text navigation instead of graphics has greatly freed the client to make changes on the fly. The pages load quickly, are accessible, and degrade well in older browsers.

AZF2K

(live site)

This is a personal community site I bulit almost nine years ago. My friends and family come to keep up with each other and share photos, recommendations, and links. The site was originally hosted at Homestead in 1998, but then rebuilt using ColdFusion when I moved to the Bay Area in 1999. I moved it to Typepad in 2004 and completely rewrote the default templates. My latest move was to WordPress, where I am currently using the default theme while I create my own custom theme in my free time.
